Baby Pink

Luke 2:11
...to you is born this day
in the city of David
a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord.
Happy birthday, Jesus!
You shed your kingly glory
to take on the form of a slave...
beginning from the first moment
of your human life
all for our sake...
Thank you for your lavish love.
May we love as you love
and protect the helpless,
advocate for the voiceless...
This we pray in your mighty name. Amen.

Passion

Thank you, Lord, for making each of us unique.
Grant us the grace to always embrace
our own weirdness,
our own passion,
our own bliss,
in order to bear the fruit
you designed us to bear.
Amen.

Pink and Lavender

Pink symbolizes love and romance;
lavender symbolizes grace, femininity and elegance...

Just want to say thank you, Lord,
for the beautiful, quirky, strong and gentle ladies
you have put in my life.
Thank you for making me a woman.
May each girl embrace her identity as a woman of worth...
May we all continue growing into women of worship.
Amen.

Prayer for the Most Neglected Souls*

Jesus, for the sake of the agony that you endured
during your fear of death
at the Garden of Gethsemane,
at the Scourging,
at the Crowning with thorns,
on the Way to Calvary,
at your Crucifixion and death,
have mercy on the souls in Purgatory,
especially on those souls
who are completely forgotten.
Deliver them from their bitter pains,
call them finally to yourself
and embrace them
in your arms in Heaven.
Amen.

Orange and Purple

Ecc 3:1 For everything there is a season,
and a time for every matter under heaven...

In Tagaytay, it is a time to bloom...
everywhere plants are in full array.

For me, it is a time to step back...
a time for silence and study,
and a time to sing and worship;
a time to disconnect from the cold,
a time to reconnect to the warm;
a time for uncertainty,
yet also a time of profound peace.

Lord, I don't know the details of the plans
you have for me, but I know
they are plans to prosper
and not to harm me,
plans to give me a future full of hope.
Grant me the grace to follow your lead.
Guide me to the right decisions.
Bless the work of my hands.
This I ask in Jesus' name. Amen.

Cherubim Red

Psalm 99:1
The LORD is king; let the peoples tremble!
He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake!

Lord, God of hosts,
we worship you alone.
Have mercy on your people.
Let not the earth tremble anymore.
Provide food and water to those in need.
Comfort those who have lost loved ones.
Grant eternal rest unto those who passed.
Build up what has been devastated.
This we ask in Jesus' name. Amen.

Color of Rain

The soul would have no rainbow
if the eyes had no tears...
John Vance Cheney
Lord, thank you for
being the light
that makes rainbows
out of my tears.

Yellow

Look at the flowers
Look how they bloom for you
And all the things you do
Yeah, they were all yellow
[slightly modified Coldplay lyrics]

Thank you, Lord, for all creation that blooms for you...
and all the things that you do...

White

Matthew 6:28-29
And why do you worry about clothing?
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin,
yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these.

Pink

Song of Solomon 2:12
The flowers appear on the earth, the time of pruning the vines has come, and the song of the dove is heard in our land. (NAB)

The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. (NRSV)

*One feature of Hebrew poetry is Janus parallelism where certain words can be read in more than one way. This explains the different translations of the same text above.
