Lord, you are the resurrection and the life,
whoever believes in you
will live and not die...
In the moments when death comes
into our lives and takes loved ones away,
you are our comfort and strength.
Knowing that you are our salvation,
our hope for eternal life,
takes away the sting of death.
Still, the moments come when we grieve.
During those moments, please hold us.
Be with us. Cry with us.
And allow more moments of consolation
to interweave with the moments of grief.
This we ask in Jesus' name. Amen.
